This is the image for the news article titled Schoolwide retreat - "Be the Light"The Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes, NJ had the wonderful opportunity on Friday, October 13, for a Community Retreat Day entitled Being the Light!
The day was planned with five separate and simultaneous sessions occurring throughout the day – sessions for the Early Elementary students (Transitions – Grade 2), Upper Elementary students (Grades  3 – 5), Aquinas Middle School students (Grades 6 – 8), faculty and staff, and parents!
It was a day of activities, games, reflection, and prayer and concluded with a school wide Mass in the gym celebrated by Bishop John Flesey, Pastor.
The day provided our entire school community a chance for sharing, nourishment, and support!  Special thanks to the Marist Evangelization Team, the Marist Brothers Center at Esopus, New York, and the student leaders from two of the Regional High Schools of the Archdiocese of Newark: Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale and Roselle Catholic High School in Roselle for facilitating the day. Thanks also to Father John Job, Parochial Vicar, for all his support and efforts to make this day a reality!
